Why Hair Loss Is Still An "Unsolved" Problem
We’re living in an age where science and technology are helping us make extraordinary advances in cosmetics and skin care.
In fact, it’s never been easier to improve your appearance and feel young.
However, it's also never been so confusing. With unlimited information available at the click of a button, it's challenging to know which products actually work.
And things get especially hard when you dive into the subject of hair loss.
The amount of information online about hair loss (and the countless "solutions") have cluttered the topic. This has resulted in one common narrative: people don't understand the true root causes of hair loss.
This becomes apparent when you read articles such as the one published last year by LabioTech called “Could We See a New Dawn for Hair Loss Treatments?”
What People Get Right About Hair Loss
The article by LabioTech starts off with a correct statement -- asserting that people are tired of hearing about hair transplants and drugs like Finasteride and Minoxidil.
Indeed, people are seeking more effective and affordable solutions to hair loss that are non-invasive in nature:
“Buoyed by a number of research breakthroughs regarding the science behind hair growth, several biotechs have products in late-stage clinical trials, some of which may go on to become the first novel drug treatments for baldness in twenty years.”
One promising treatment appears to be the naturally occurring peptide osteopontin, which showed promising results in mice:
“Subsequent studies found that this protein variant has a very specific target on hair follicle cells and can accelerate the hair cycle from resting to growth phases. This allows it to stimulate dormant hair follicles and encourage them to start producing cosmetically visible hairs again.”
Follicum, the company testing this peptide in clinical trials, is currently studying a topical formulation in humans for increasing hair density. As the study progresses, we'll learn more about how safe and effective it is.
Other possible avenues include exploring repurposed drugs where hair growth is an “unwanted” side effect:
“Italian biotech Giuliani has been exploring one particularly innovative way of doing this. Through studying existing drugs for other conditions that cause unwanted bodily hair growth as a side effect over the past four years, it has identified completely new pathways for stimulating hair follicles.”
What People Get Wrong About Hair Loss
Unfortunately, many of the other treatments featured in the LabioTech article revolve around DHT inhibition.
“Italian biotech Cassiopea is developing its own topical product Breezula. This treatment directly blocks the negative effect of DHT on the scalp based on a mechanism of action discovered through studying the hormone’s role in acne development.”
“Having already successfully completed phase II trials, and with a phase III trial planned for 2020, Breezula could become the first new treatment for male pattern baldness in the coming years, with investors already forecasting potential sales figures in the region of €350M.”
From the article, we can conclude that the one possible advantage of Breezula is less side effects than DHT-inhibiting drugs like Finasteride and Dutasteride. Nevertheless, we’re not holding our breath.
Even if the drug is administered topically or orally, the concerns of decreased sexual performance and hormonal disruption remain the same.
So, the truth remains the same -- DHT is not the root cause of hair loss.
At best, it is a secondary effect of other causes such as follicle cell dysfunction, inflammation at the scalp, and lack of sufficient blood flow to the roots of your hair.
What DOES Work For Hair Loss
Unlike existing drug treatments on the market, Auxano Grow V2 does not interfere with hormonal production of important hormones such as DHT.
Its two main compounds -- Copper Peptide GHK-Cu and C60 - work together to increase blood flow to hair follicles, exert an anti-inflammatory effect in the scalp, and synthesize new hair follicles.
All you have to do is apply it once a day, live a low-inflammation lifestyle, and give it time before you see visible changes.
And best of all -- once you achieve your desired results, you can stop using the formula without experiencing any reversal of hair growth.
While we recommend some maintenance for best results, many customers have successfully kept their new head of hair for several months after their last use.
