DHT Blockers and Side Effects

Baldness and hair loss can have a disastrous effect on self-confidence and self-esteem.

There are many remedies to baldness and hair loss, and these range from expensive treatments like hair transplant surgery to more natural alternatives such as serums.

Baldness — or androgenetic alopecia, the scientific term for male-pattern baldness — is one of the most common forms of hair loss.

But despite being the most prevalent type of hair loss, androgenetic alopecia is still a mystery.

Many factors are likely involved.

Diets, stress, genetics, environmental toxins, lack of sleep, and even certain prescription drugs are all likely to play a role.

But DHT is usually the most common suspect.

What is DHT?

DHT stands for dihydrotestosterone, or 5α-dihydrotestosterone, a male sex hormone produced in the testes, adrenal glands, and hair follicles.

This hormone is produced in higher levels in men with this disorder and implicated in the development of male pattern baldness since.

DHT was formerly thought of as a specific hair loss androgen.

Newer research and information has come to light proving DHT inhibition is a downstream agent of potential hair loss.

DHT is linked to many other health problems, including gynecomastia, acne, and even the development of prostate cancer.

While DHT plays a major role in the development of hair follicles, it is also responsible for regulating the rate of hair growth and testosterone levels.

DHT blockers, also known as 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors (5-ARIs) are used to treat male-pattern baldness and are often prescribed for men experiencing hair loss.

How Do DHT Blockers Work?

Your pituitary gland produces DHT to regulate hair growth.

When your pituitary gland detects that DHT levels are too low, it will signal your body to increase production.

DHT blockers like dutasteride (Avodart) and finasteride (Propecia) target the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme responsible for catalyzing the chemical reaction that converts testosterone into DHT.

These 5-alpha reductase inhibitors or 5-ARIs prevent testosterone conversion, the major androgen sex hormone,  into DHT.

Side Effects of DHT Blockers

DHT blockers often come with undesirable side effects in a significant number of users.

In particular, they have been found to increase the risk of decreased libido, breast tenderness, depression, and anxiety.

While 5-ARIs can decrease the overall risk of developing prostate cancer, they have been found to increase the risk of other types of rare but high-grade prostate cancers.

Sexual Dysfunction: Side effects such as erectile and ejaculatory dysfunction have been reported by men taking 5-ARIs.

The medication has also been associated with lowered sexual desire.

These types of side effects may continue even after discontinuing the medication.

Breast changes: 5-ARIs might lead to breast tenderness and gynecomastia (breast enlargement).

Emotional changes: 5-ARIs have been linked to an increased risk of depression and self-harm.

Effective Alternatives To DHT Blockers For Reversing Hair Loss

While 5-alpha reductase inhibitors can effectively treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer, as mentioned above, they have many adverse effects and have been linked to over 60 serious side effects.

Because of this, many men are turning to alternative treatments such as GHK-Cu and Carbon 60.

Copper Peptide GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is a way to treat and even prevent hair loss.

It’s a naturally produced copper peptide that supports collagen and elastin production.

It promotes healthy-looking skin and helps the body to heal faster from cuts and other injuries.

Nano Molecule Carbon 60 (C60)

Carbon 60 is a molecule consisting of 60 carbon atoms.

The ingredient contains antioxidant properties and helps prevent damage to DNA.

This is a solution that can be applied directly to the scalp to help reduce hair loss.

GHK-Cu + C60 = Auxano Grow V2

But what happens when you use both of them at the same time?

You have a formulation where GHK-Cu and C60 work together to create fuller and thicker hair (thereby stimulating new hair growth), in addition to enlarging shrinking hair follicles and increasing the number of hair follicles on your scalp.

The end result is our advanced hair loss reversal formula Auxano Grow V2, which has helped hundreds of men and women combat baldness in all forms.
